Actual title most definitely Willin' as written by Lowell George of Little Feat and covered by many. Dig out your copy of Sailing Shoes for the definitive version.

Is it true that Tucson, Tucamcari, Tehachapi and Tonapah all house correctional facilities?

Welcome back from the doc's, big guy. Hope you're back on your feet again.

Oh yeah, and right about the Stone Poneys (that's how they spelled it) too.

Just discovered this nice hq video of Lowell singing Willin' in 1977 - looks like the same room the Dead played in on 3-28-81.

Hmmm, lets see: Tehachapi: check; Tonopah: check (if it's the NV city, not so for AZ's Tonopah--it's likely the NV one for any trucker tune, IMHO); Tucson: check; Tucumcari: check!

Yep--I've been to every one, spent more than a night in everyone (both AZ and NV Tonopahs, BTW), but never in the correctional facilities I note. How'd you figure that out?

Brian Erlacher (sp?), big football star of the Bears hails from NM's Tucumcari, for those that care...
